PBRO is a binational organization with five ministry sites along the US-Mexico Border, from Arizona to Texas, and from Sonora to Tamaulipas. We engage with a wide variety of people in our community on both sides of the border—young and old; “properly” documented and “differently” documented; rich and poor; conservative, progressive and in-between; and we welcome people from all faiths to join us in ministry. In the PBRO, ministry partners from the Presbyterian Church (USA) and Iglesia Nacional Presbiteriana de Mexico focus on establishing and cultivating relationships between people so that "they may have life and have it abundantly" (John 10:10).
The Presbyterian Church (USA) works in partnership with Christian communities, other faith organizations, and secular entities around the world. Our earliest beliefs within the Reformed Tradition can be held as the guide for the faith and practice of the church today. We constantly seek to be open to new movement of the Holy Spirit. Being in partnership with people in other cultures and participating in God’s mission in the world helps individuals to be more faithful in their quest of being disciples of Jesus Christ.
Are you passionate about improving relationships between people of different cultures? Do you want to get to know your neighbor? We are a Christian community that welcomes delegations from churches, synagogues, mosques, temples; from universities, seminaries, and other educational institutions; from government and industry and anywhere people want to create a kinder, more just and equitable world.
Whether you help through volunteering your time, spreading our mission by word-of-mouth, or through monetary donations, we thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you. You are making a huge difference in the borderlands across the southern US. Thank you!
We are dedicated to improving the lives of those in our borderlands communities: creating safe, nurturing spaces where young and old alike can flourish. Your contribution today helps us make a difference.
